Engineering Futures Forum at Wekiva High School

On April 18, 2008, a engineering forum was held at Wekiva High School in Apopka.  Over 200 ninth through eleventh grade students were involved.  Twelve engineers from five companies/agencies also participated.  The results of the the forum's evaluations and pictures of the event are online.

Elementary School Forum at Westside Elementary

On November 2nd, 2007 the first elementary school forum was held at Westside Elementary in Palm Bay. The forum has set the stage for five elementary forums scheduled for 2008.  The results of the the forum's evaluations show that over half of the students felt the forum was very useful..

Middle School  Forum at Edgewater High School

The second middle school forum was held at Edgewater HS on October 5th, 2007 involving 350 students from five OCPS middle schools.  Over 15 engineers were involved to make the event another success.

Engineering Futures Forum at Lake Brantley High School

The forum was held at Lake Brantley High School on January 17th, 2007. Engineers from Northrop Grumman Laser Systems, Disney Industrial Engineering, GRG Inc. and PEO-STRI joined UCF-CECS in meeting with 60 students and teachers.

Engineering Futures Forum for Middle Schools at Edgewater High School

UCF-CECS in coordination with the administration of Edgewater High School hosted the largest forum to date involving 500+ students from seven middle schools in Orange County Florida. Over 20 engineers from Northrop Grumman Laser Systems, NAVAIR, Disney Industrial Engineering, PEO-STRI and other companies participated.

Engineering Futures Forum at  Lyman High School and Edgewater High School

The two forums were held at Lyman High School on February 7th, 2006 and at Edgewater High School on March 2nd, 2006. In attendance where 20 practicing engineers representing diverse backgrounds participated at both forums that involved over 400 students.
